How much are your piercings and jewelry?

Most of our piercings are $40 for the service, jewelry is always a separate cost and priced per individual piece. Titanium options start around $30 per piece, while yellow, rose, and white gold options start around $85 per piece. Pricing will vary based on the service and style of jewelry needed.

For a jewelry removal or insertion (no new piercing), there is a $10 service charge.

Can I bring my own jewelry?

We only work with jewelry from our studio or from one of the jewelry companies we work with. This ensures we can guarantee and stand by the quality of jewelry we are using!

If you would like to use jewelry from us for a new piercing, please drop it off during studio hours at least 1 week prior to your appointment so we can properly sterilize the jewelry!

Do you pierce kids?

Yes we do! Ages 6 and up. Appointments for children ages 6-11 are opened once a month. More information can be found in the “kids earlobes” section of this website.

What are your general age requirements?

For children ages 12-14 years old, we offer earlobe piercings only.

Ages 15+ we offer cartilage, nostril, navel, and septum piercings. 

Ages 16+ we offer eyebrow and lip piercings.

Most of our other piercings are 18+ (feel free to reach out for any clarification)

Can I bring my friends?

Clients with an appointment for one person are more than welcome to bring one guest over the age of 18. Clients with an appointment for a minor or two people, we please ask that no other guests are brought to the appointment.

I have travel plans coming up, can I still get a piercing?

If you have travel plans where you are flying and/or swimming, we ALWAYS suggest waiting until you get back! We recommend keeping your piercing out of shared bodies of water for the full heal time. We also strongly recommend against flying with a fresh piercing for the first 4-6 weeks as it can cause excess swelling. Also, no one wants to take care of a fresh piercing on vacation!

I’m under 18!

For anyone under the age of 18, we require a copy of their birth certificate as well as a legal guardian/parent present. The legal guardian/parent’s government-issued ID must match with one of the parent’s listed on the birth certificate. For any minor services, a legal guardian/parent must remain in the room for the duration of the appointment.

We do have some age parameters on particular piercings. Feel free to give us a call with any questions or concerns regarding our under 18 policies! 

For clients over the age of 18, we require a valid government issued photo ID such as driver’s license or passport.

I have sensitive skin, what jewelry would work for me?

All of our jewelry is equally safe! We only work with clean metals that are safe for initial piercings as well as long term wear! We carry implant-grade titanium as well as 14k/18k rose, white, and yellow gold.

What if I am pregnant or nursing?

We do not offer piercings on anyone who is pregnant. We also do not offer piercings on anyone who has been breastfeeding for 6 months or less. But we are happy to offer other services such as jewelry insertions or consultations.

Why are you appointment only?

Our appointment-only format allows us to give our clients more individualized and personal attention, which we love! We also only have one full time piercer and one part time piercer, so there are only so many appointments we can schedule per day.

Do I need an appointment just to shop?

Yes! We are appointment-only for everything, including shopping. We need to make sure we have a jewelry counter as well as a jewelry specialist available.

Our jewelry is meant for long-term wear and not easily sized, inserted, or removed on your own. We have a large variety of sizes and styles of jewelry that are typically custom fit based on your anatomy. We always strongly encourage an insertion appointment!

What is your cancelation policy?

In the case your service is deemed unnecessary your deposit will be refunded to you. If you need to reschedule your appointment and provide us with at least 24 hours notice, your deposit can be transferred to your new appointment. Otherwise, all deposits are non-refundable.

If you ‘no-show’ your appointment without notice, you forfeit your deposit and will be required to pay a full deposit in order to schedule an appointment in the future.

Should I tip my piercer?

Tipping is never expected, but always appreciated! When it comes to tipping, we like to compare our services to receiving a haircut or having your nails done. Our piercers and staff are always extremely grateful to receive gratuity for their work.

What is your masking policy?

Dorje Adornments no longer requires masks to be worn in the studio. Piercers will always wear a mask when providing a service. If you would like to request that all staff be masked during your visit, not a problem, please just let us know!

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, card, and/or contactless payments!

Where can I park?

We have a parking lot behind our building, just up our driveway to the right. There is also plenty of street parking on Park Avenue! Please do not park in the designated Allstate or Ritz & Co. spots.
